EPHA Hose Protectors are easily installed without having to disassemble lines or break hydraulic systems apart. This allows for spot application at the exact point of wear in four quick, simple steps. Installing a protector while building a new or replacement hose shields the exact point of abrasion from further wear after the equipment is returned to service.
Installation Steps
- Locate the suspected problem area on the hose. Identify the exact point where abrasion or wear is occurring or is likely to occur.
- Place the Hose Protector over the problem area. The protector should fully cover the point of contact or abrasion.
- Install cable ties, pulling tight with pliers or a zip tie cutter tool. Use UV black cable ties of the appropriate size for your hose protector (refer to the recommended uses guide for correct tie sizes).
- Cut off the excess length of the ties. The hose is now safely shielded from wear at the problem area.
